The 1st MMCCI Invitational Chess Tournament, held last December 22, 2024 at St Francis 10 Subd Covered Court, Binan, showcased thrilling rapid chess play over 7-rounds in a Swiss-system format. This event, brought to life through the dedication of its Founder NM Ricardo Merano, celebrated its success in a groundbreaking tournament for the era.

In the main competition, Ace Bryant Ortega emerged victorious, finishing with an impressive score of 6/7 points. Ortega's strategic prowess and composure under pressure allowed him to outmaneuver his opponents consistently throughout the tournament. Each match was a testament to his resilience, whether he was tactically outplaying his competitors or holding his nerve in tense situations.

In the kiddies' division, young Neil Amatoria shined brightly, also achieving a stellar score of 6/7.
