Jersey Marticio wins the 14th GMG Chess U20 Tournament 2026

In a stunning display of tactical prowess and unwavering focus, Jersey Marticio emerged victorious at the 14th GMG Chess U20 Tournament 2026 via buchholz over her brother Jeremy Marticio last September 06, 2026 at Robinson South Galleria, San Pedro.

She clinched the title with an impressive score of 6/7 points, demonstrating consistent performance throughout the tournament. Her noteworthy victories included wins against Zeus Lester Manaois, Jan Carlsen Matencio, and Nathan Josh Delos Reyes

In what was arguably the most pivotal game, her final match ended in a win with Nathan Josh Delos Reyes, securing her top spot in the tournament. This strategic win not only showcased her astute endgame management but also demonstrated her maturity in ensuring tournament victory without unnecessary risk.

The atmosphere was fully-airconed inside the Robinson mall eagerly watching each move as strategies unfolded on the board. This event not only highlighted the competitive spirit of chess but also fostered a sense of community among players and fans alike. Many Thanks to Mam Janine Sinag and Robinson staffs and management for providing us a great venue for this tournament. And expecting more players to join in our subsequent tournaments.
