We are thrilled to share a monumental milestone for the GMG Chess community. GMG Chess has officially been accredited as a recognized Civil Society Organization (CSO).

This official recognition marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us. While the accreditation is new, our mission remains the same: to democratize the game of chess, foster strategic thinking, and build vibrant, inclusive communities through the power of the board.

A newly formed GMG Chess Club at Robinson South Galleria with free chess clinic every Tuesday and Friday morning.

A Proven Track Record of Impact

This milestone is a direct reflection of years of hard work, dedication, and community trust. To date, GMG Chess has successfully launched and managed hundreds of tournament and chess clinic projects across the Binan also in Region 4A.

From grassroots initiatives in local schools to high-stakes regional tournaments, our programs have touched thousands of lives. Our chess clinics have provided accessible, high-quality training to aspiring players of all ages and backgrounds, proving that chess is truly a game for everyone.

Looking Forward: The Next Move

We are not slowing down. With this accreditation, we are actively designing our next wave of strategic projects. In the coming months, we will be expanding our signature chess clinic modules to reach underserved communities and introducing new competitive tournament formats.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated coaches, volunteers, players, and supporters. Thank you for being a vital part of the GMG Chess journey. The board is set, and our best moves are yet to come.

Chess has always been more than just a game to us; it is a journey of self-discovery, a test of character, and a source of endless fascination and joy.

What CSO Accreditation Means for Our Community

Becoming an accredited CSO is more than just a title. It fundamentally transforms how we operate and expands the scope of what we can achieve.

Enhanced Partnerships: This status allows us to collaborate directly with government agencies, even the YSDO Binan doesn't support our projects and major educational institutions to scale our programs.
Expanded Resource Access: We can now secure larger grants and funding opportunities, now we have free access at Robinson South Galleria for our chess playground, chess clinic and tournaments.
A Voice in Civic Development: As a recognized CSO, we can advocate for the integration of chess into broader youth development, mental health, and educational policy frameworks.
